Good news. With funding from the NSW Government work has commenced on the Warringah Recreation Centre along Pittwater Rd. A Masterplan was developed in partnership with Tennis NSW, Squash NSW, and the Warringah Golf Club which features three indoor modern squash and five new tennis courts, a new golf clubhouse upgraded amenities, and improved facilities, all aimed at addressing the evolving needs of our community. A 12.5-metre golf barrier net will also be installed to improve safety.

Landscaping will include tree replacements and stormwater upgrades to support better drainage and environmental sustainability.

An elevated pedestrian boardwalk will link the tennis courts, Kentwell Road footpath, Warringah Golf Club, carpark, and nearby recreation areas. A new pedestrian crossing will also be introduced to improve safety and movement across the site.

A new eastern carpark will provide 40 spaces, including EV charging and accessible bays. A western carpark and pedestrian bridge over Brookvale Creek are planned for stage two, subject to funding, to improve parking and access.

We now await funding for the proposed gymnastic centre across the road on the old Bowlo site.
